I admit that my experience with Medicaid has been from the outside looking in, so you would know more than I. Common sense, however, makes me question how this is all going to work without rationing or degrading of healthcare.
I agree that healthcare is way too expensive in this country, which I believe is due to most relying on third party payers.
I would have like to have been a healthcare bill with some tort reform and a national Medical Savings Accounts plan. Throw in the ability to buy insurance across state lines.
I'm really concerned about the financial stability of our nation.
We are facing some tough challenges right now including 10 percent unemployment and two wars and we are busting the bank. Maybe our priorities should be different now, especially considering other gov. programs like Medicaid and Social Security will be broke soon. No one really knows what this new program is going to cost or how we are going to pay for it.

Hey vinitha...jus stumbled upon your blog from FB. I agree with the rain bit. Its so so romantic and when we were in chennai we used to go on long drives on ECR and stop by at a small tea shop and have hott chai and bhajji. It wud be just gorgeous. we'd eventually stop by at a secluded beach and id run out getting all wet.
Here it rains quite a bit but you just don feel like running out because with the rains come the cold winds and deadly thunders. But i still do make a hot cuppa tea and huddle by the window side with my lappy. Here's to gud ol rains in chennai:)

Well, assuming the itinerary hasn't changed, you can read my "day by day" account right here on my blog: I had taken pics and written up a blog post almost every day while our impressions were still fresh in my mind.
I think our favorite ports were St. Maarten (yacht racing), St. Kitts (ziplining above the rainfirest) and Barbados (Segway tour). We would highly recommend all of those excursions.It was our second time visiting St Thomas and Magen's Bay is a beautiful beach - perfect for relaxing in the sun and enjoying the sea. St. Thomas also has a pretty decent shopping area near the boat.
We took the 4x4 jeep and beach break on St. Lucia and were brought to this completely secluded beach and it was just gorgeous - there was no one there and it was a relaxing and peaceful afternoon with just our fellow excursion mates. There was no one else in sight! On the drive there, we passed through the whole island and the guide told us all about the local culture, flora and traditions - we made a couple of stops along the way at small stands to buy some products and souvenirs. It was really nice to see the less-touristy side of the island.
