I am going to quibble with you just a bit. Georgia most certainly DID NOT dominate the series in the 60s. Florida was 6-3-1 against Georgia in the 60s.
For those scoring at home;
In the 50s Florida was 6-4 against UGA
In the 60s Florida was 6-3-1 against UGA
In the 70s UGA was 7-3 against Florida
In the 80s UGA was 8-2 against Florida
In the 90s Florida was 9-1 against UGA
In the 00s Florida was 8-2 against UGA
In addition, Florida has wiped out the Dooley years in terms of the impact it has on the series. Dooley was 17-7-1 against Florida when he retired in 1989. Since then, Florida has dominated to the tune of 17-4.

Buzzer foul!! Buzzer foul I say!! It seems like buzzer #3 was a bit more responsive than buzzer #1. And I second "Florida" not being the same as the "University of Florida." Just "Florida" could also be refering to-

Florida A&M University

July 13th, 2011 at 2:49 am
No. No no no. These things look like that boat trailer that Red Green built using "those 2 bicycles you stole from in front of the 7 - 11 plus 1 roll of duct tape". Or Red's customized bike seen here:
This dude is trying to use what is essentially free raw materials plus nearly free third world labour to produce a product which likely would not survive our climate. His cost for the frame he wants to sell online at $500 is quite likely in the order of $3 and worth every cent of that $3. The picture looks like 7 el-cheapo lengths of bamboo held together with tape and resin. Can you say exploitation? Perhaps his 3rd world workers can produce something useful for riding around in a 3rd world village but the thought of riding one down Queen Street in rush hour is scary as hell.

That is a fun story. I have a similar one that is equally unbelievable, yet we all know the power of God and I witnessed this one firsthand. My dad has a double car garage on the back of their property that is his workshop. We were out there working on a project together and discussing his mice problem. He said (looking up towards the ceiling), "God, it sure would be nice to have a stray cat come live here and help take care of these mice..." Suddenly, a cat came STREAKING into the garage like it was being chased by a rabid dog and jumped up on my dad's back, claws and all. Pudgy, a beautiful, gray, Minx cat (tail-less) lived with us for years after that in dad's shed and had several litters of kitties. Moral of the stories: GOD LISTENS...even to small stuff!!!

Allow me to correct a few things Major.
The series might indeed run in streaks. But there is no indication that the domination of this streak will end anytime soon. The Dooley era domination ended when Dooley stopped coaching. Georgia hoped the Florida domination might end when Spurrier left. But alas for Bulldog fans, that was not to be.
As for most of the Florida wins coming in the Goff and Donnan era, well, Richt is only 2-7 against Florida.
Goff was not 0-7, he was 1-6. Richt has now lost more games to Florida than Goff. In fact, with 7 losses to Florida, Richt his now tied with Dooley for the number of games lost to Florida. However, it took Dooley 25 years to lose 7 games to Florida. It has only taken Richt nine years to lose 7 games to Florida.
In the last 5 years, Meyer has won as many games against Georgia (4) as the last three coaches at Georgia have won against Florida, a span of 21 years.
The series is now 39-46-2, Georgia's favor. That is a 7 win spread, not a 10 win spread.
In the last 6 calendar decades, Georgia has only won the series in 2 of them.
Florida won the 50s
Florida won the 60s
Georgia won the 70s
Georgia won the 80s
Florida won the 90s
Florida won the 00s.
Vince coached for 25 years and his record against Florida was 17-7-1. That is a 9.5 win spread. Spurrier wiped out that advantage in only 12 years by posting a 11-1 record. That is a 10 game spread. Since Spurrier left, Florida is 6-2 against Georgia.
Three consecutive Florida coaches have a winning record against Georgia.
Three consecutive Georgia coaches have a losing record against Florida.
Counting backward from last year, the series does not even up until 1935.
Thank goodness for next Saturday indeed.

Jean,
Please don’t worry. No money raised by the Playa Pals is being turned over to anyone. We don’t disparage what LG did in their fundraising. We think they did a great job. We understand your concerns, but the decision to make that contribution was in the hands of LG’s administrators. We are confident that they did what they thought was best to serve the region, regardless of any concerns others may have had. And frankly from what we have seen, the State Government (to whom LG actually donated) has done a lot of good work in Mahahual and the rest of the Costa Maya. Remember they are trying to help a lot of people.
However, from the very beginning, Playa Pals have made it clear that their fundraising is solely to be spent on emergency goods to be taken directly to the people of Mahahual by the Playa Pals. We are thrilled with the possibility that governement, Red Cross, or other humanitarian aid will be coming into the area. However, it has not arrived yet, and Playa Pals continues to provide food, water and supplies. We’re going to spend every last penny. Today, individual food packages (about 200 of them) are being prepared for distribution tomorrow. Water in gallon jugs is being purchased today in as large an amount as the trucks can carry. Members of our “Dutch Army” are also out buying hundreds of mosquito nets for distribution. They have also organized and are hosting a local fundraiser for Mahahual in Playa del Carmen tonight which offers a raffle with some great prizes, including 5 nights at our hotel.
The administration of LG actually asked if we would take their surplus money and spend it in Mahahual for them. Although we have had some problems with the way we were treated on their forum, we said yes. However, subsequently they decided to donate the money to the Red Cross. Again, that’s their decision, not ours.
Don’t worry, every penny raised will be spent in Mahahaul.

1.how many air crafts(?) were involved2.nature of these air craft3.origin and destination4.why was no warnings heeded?if the military had indeed tracked them on radar, I’m sure with the telemetry they can asses the speed and type of air craft with that.there seems to be some key questions that are unanswered, or at least in the public fora.ie- if there were two air craft , reports said 3 bombs, what was the capability? LTTE pix on Tamil net showed 4 bombs, then if 1 air craft bombed what was the other doing? what about the rumors of people seeing '2 parachutes" ?as for the origin and destination, we may also have to consider the fact that these air crafts (?) may have been equipped with a gondola , enabling them to land on water, hence RV with a boat offshore , refuel and retune to base. Also the shallow waters of NW, especially in Mannar, Aprippu area may have been used to launch the air crafts (?) .I suggest the inquiries to be 2 fold, one on a comprehensive threat assessment, including the types and nature of the air craft involved etc. and another inquiry on why SLAF didn’t react in time and also what was done following the warnings.Obviously the SLAF cant do both the inquiries, first one can be done by a joint Military entity but the second MUST be done by the Police, with NO SLAF involvement. Or else we lost the whole idea of the inquiry. And as for assessment of the actual damage, what ever the area hit by the bombs had to a manned area, given the fact that at 12.45am, to injure 17 and kill 3, this area must have been some what operational sector of the base, close to a flight line, unlike an engineering section where we could not expect activity at night as mentioned in the SLAF statement. LTTE has most of the time been innovative, so we need our people to think out of the box too! (David, great that we have you, your comments are highly enlightening! )]]>
