On Monday February 16, I spotted a bald eagle flying about 30-40 feet right over my driveway on Glencoe St. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! By the time I grabbed my camera, he had made a large low circle over toward Highway 62 and out of sight! There was a photo in the newspaper of a bald eagle in Alamance County in January. Hope someone can get a photo of him in Glencoe!

I stopped by the Rogue River on the way back from a meeting today and saw a Bald Eagle. This bald eagle was catching Stealhead and feeding the Turkey Vultures on the shore. The Eagle did this twice. Never seen that before.
I wonder if there are parallels there between Daylon being lifted up on Eagles Wings and how he used to fly food and help people out.
Sure made me think!Feel good. And made my hairs on my arm raise.
Gods Grace is all around us !!

This stuff about Florida being destroyed by huge waves is terrifying... Florida is only about 150 miles wide..... and a warning is not given for such a disaster..... like would they know when it would happen? All these rich business people... when they atart running, then I guess it would be time to run also..... and all those zionists family members in Florida? A lot of people have moved out of florida... but they don't put out lists of who they are......
how much time does Florida have? afew days? weeks?
how can they move the huge army base here? Would they let them all die also?
Something is fishey here.

I agree that Steve Wood's talk was very interesting. I am hoping that he turns this early work into a paper as soon as possible.
About the figure showing ice distribution over a range of obliquities: first, the figure is showing water ice deposition, not CO2 ice; and second, during high obliquity, the equatorial ice would be a ring that covered the entire equator, not a patch like you get at the poles (and as erroneously shown in the figure). I wonder who made this figure?

Compare rates for cable and satellite. - isn't it much cheaper to not have cable/satellite tv?...83. Turn down your home thermostat a couple of degrees in the winter - home thermostat?, I don't even have one of these.91. Get rid of "add on" services with phone, TV, etc. - who actually gets these anyway?92. Keep up maintenance on cars. It may prevent costly future problems. - and linked to this (excepting new cars on a service plan of course), learn to change your own oil and sparkplugs etc.

Updated reason to not have what Florida is having taken from Palm Beach Post, 8/13/08 regarding ACT scores and Hispanics. The discrepancy between whites and Hispanics has increased from 2.2 in 04 to 2.8 in 08. Only 2 states performed worse than Florida. They would be Mississippi and Michigan. DC also scored worse. Folllowing a national trend, more test takers were cited in Florida.

My dad has a double car garage on the back of their property that is his workshop. We were out there working on a project together and discussing his mice problem. He said (looking up towards the ceiling), "God, it sure would be nice to have a stray cat come live here and help take care of these mice..." Suddenly, a cat came STREAKING into the garage like it was being chased by a rabid dog and jumped up on my dad's back, claws and all. Pudgy, a beautiful, gray, Minx cat (tail-less) lived with us for years after that in dad's shed and had several litters of kitties. Moral of the stories: GOD LISTENS...even to small stuff!!!]]>

Jean,
Please don’t worry. No money raised by the Playa Pals is being turned over to anyone. We don’t disparage what LG did in their fundraising. We think they did a great job. We understand your concerns, but the decision to make that contribution was in the hands of LG’s administrators. We are confident that they did what they thought was best to serve the region, regardless of any concerns others may have had. And frankly from what we have seen, the State Government (to whom LG actually donated) has done a lot of good work in Mahahual and the rest of the Costa Maya. Remember they are trying to help a lot of people.
However, from the very beginning, Playa Pals have made it clear that their fundraising is solely to be spent on emergency goods to be taken directly to the people of Mahahual by the Playa Pals. We are thrilled with the possibility that governement, Red Cross, or other humanitarian aid will be coming into the area. However, it has not arrived yet, and Playa Pals continues to provide food, water and supplies. We’re going to spend every last penny. Today, individual food packages (about 200 of them) are being prepared for distribution tomorrow. Water in gallon jugs is being purchased today in as large an amount as the trucks can carry. Members of our “Dutch Army” are also out buying hundreds of mosquito nets for distribution. They have also organized and are hosting a local fundraiser for Mahahual in Playa del Carmen tonight which offers a raffle with some great prizes, including 5 nights at our hotel.
The administration of LG actually asked if we would take their surplus money and spend it in Mahahual for them. Although we have had some problems with the way we were treated on their forum, we said yes. However, subsequently they decided to donate the money to the Red Cross. Again, that’s their decision, not ours.
Don’t worry, every penny raised will be spent in Mahahaul.

Totem Talk: Restoration, brought to you by Joe Perez (otherwise known as Lodur from World of Matticus and co-host of the For the Lore and Raid Warning podcasts), shows you how. Hard to believe that another year has come and gone, isn't it? It seems like only yesterday we were waiting in line for the Cataclysm to drop. Now we're at the end of the expansion, complete with the last raid tier and a battle for the survival of Azeroth against the aspect of death himself. But the new year has come, and it's a perfect time to look back on a rather full year of activity while we eagerly await the release of Mists of Pandaria. Tier 11: A slice of heaven The release of Cataclysm was something that was eagerly anticipated by a rather large number of players -- new talent trees, new spells and abilities, and a ton of new content.
