Whew, that was close, Stan.
Miami safe? And I was so looking forward to a chilled salt water pool.
The global warming Goreistas had me worried for a second. Now, all is well.
You know, Stan, you must be right about my tenuous grip on reality. This morning, I put 75% of my portfolio back into equities.
Now we are about to see whether a nod is indeed as good as a wink to a blind horse.

But they -vegetarians-were very much oddities: the mainstay of late 18th century /early 19th century cookery in the English kitchen was the high standard of our roast meats(unparalleled anywhere else in the world, and a skill much envied) With respect, we are not talking about oddities or indeed your 21st century experience of food here:we are talking about what would have been served as Christmas food in Jane Austen's novels, and that as primarily meat, expensively spiced food(savoury and sweet) and alcohol

All the photos are splendid, but my favourites are the throne room (That blue and gold!!!) and the coffered ceiling at Fontainebleau.
Also love the old-fashioned roundabout in the last picture. Decades ago I found them nearly on every street corner.

I don't think there are plans to do anything different with courtside seating based on what I saw the other day. There was a guy with a caulk gun up on the roof, so maybe that's fixed.
There is extensive work going on in the underbelly of the gym. They are taking the old media room and converting it into a gathering place for donors and I reckon those who sit courtside. They are building a new media workroom and new dressing areas for the cheerleaders and referees.
All this is supposed to be completed by Christmas.

Well, the basic thing is that a convection oven has a fan in the back that does exactly what you think it does - it circulates the air, creating more even heat.
It's not better, per say, as I understand it. It just runs hotter and I believe cooks more evenly. If you have a convection oven at home, you need to adjust the temperatures - as most cook books are written with regular ovens in mind. Drop the temp 25 degrees or so (maybe more). Heck, it's really good to get an oven-safe thermometer that you can hang inside your oven, convection or otherwise, to monitor the temperature. The gages are rarely accurate at the best of times.
Also, you don't really want to do confection cooking, like cakes and such, in a convection oven. The fans do move around a lot of air and light objects can be disturbed and cakes and other batters will bake having irregular surfaces due to the air currents. But they are great for roasting!]]>

It is 4500 SQFT- a monster house- and we use all of it! I have to say that I am often embarrassed to say how large it is. The floor plan is a little like this:Downstairs- Master bedroom and large master bath, powder room WITH a door to the backyard, smallish living room right off the large kitchen with an eating area that fits all ten of us and a walk in pantry. There is also a large laundry room with an extra fridge, a dining room (otherwise known as the folding and laundry baskets that really need to be put away, but never do room), and a craft room. The extra freezer is in the garage. Our backyard has a grass area and a pool- with a fence around it-. It commonly gets over 100 in the summers- we lived in it this last summer!Upstairs is a huge family room (over 1000 SQFT) and three bedrooms. There is a powder room and full bath and a very large bonus room that we could probably put all the kids into, but at this point just has the three little boys. There isn't a closet in this room, but they don't need one. The three bedrooms each have two beds, but our oldest has his own room. The two oldest girls share a room and the two youngest. There are a lot of great features- like separate thermostats and cement walkways around the entire house and lots more. It was built in the early 90's so we are about at the point where it will need some work- but we love it and as I said earlier there is not a space that is unused! Two downsides? All the cleaning and that the family room is right above the master bedroom.Oh yeah- and the mortgage! We figure we can scrape by, and it is an investment right? We were lucky to make a profit on our last two houses... And the only way we are moving out of this house is in body bags!]]>
