Kids love the game of pool, it's simple to learn and fun to play. an easier game than snooker, if your child likes the billiards game, you may get a note for Santa asking for a pool table this Christmas. So what constitutes a children's pool table?
As a rough guide, if your child is under 10, get them a 4 ft 6 inch table which is the smallest you can get these days and if they are 10 -12 a five ft table is probably best and get a 6 ft table for the teenagers. A note for Dad, these tables are toys really, so don't worry about getting the table absolutely level, there is bound to be a bit of drift on the balls, save the the micro adjustments for the slate bed tables.
Also be aware that the cues may just have a plastic end to them, especially on the cheaper models, without a proper leather cue tip and so they won't take the chalk very well. Consider getting a couple of separate short cues as well as the table, they normally have a screw in leather tip and will be much better to play with and much easier to chalk. These tables do not come with any rests as a rule, but it may be worth getting a rest and cutting it down to make a small 3 ft rest for the smaller members of the family and anyway it will be good practice for them to use a rest.
When you are considering getting a child's pool table it might be worth considering getting a children's snooker table instead as most of them come with 6 extra yellow balls so you can combine them with the red balls from the snooker game and so can play pool as well as snooker. So your kids can learn how to play both of the popular billiards games.

For moments like this, when you have done all the scrubbing and there is no more skin that can be scrubbed off, there is another solution - Go the opposite way -fill in. What I mean is take a cue tip or a small painting brush, dip it in a self tanning solution (make sure that you wipe off the excess on the side of container otherwise you will have far too much) and paint over the white spots. Just once. Remember it will get darker, so make sure that the brush only has a very small amount of self tanner, otherwise you will compound the problem.I would not be surprised at all, if next time you get a really good and even tan. Even tanners that spray tan regularly sometimes have days when the body just will not tan properly. It sometimes has to do with something you ate the day before, or some medication that you took, or weather, or time of the month, million things can go wrong.On another hand, it could be the salon's machine that might need servicing, or they might be using solution that was exposed to too much heat.I would ring the salon, because they might not be aware of any problems, politely ask them for advice. Many salons will give you another spray free if your old one did not turn out OK.If the next one will turn out OK, it was your skin, if it will not, I think that you should be able to ask for your money back.]]>

Wasnt sure where to post this but had to share:My dog came back from the groomer infested with fleas. Here is how I handled it:1.) fill a plastic storage bin with warm water2.) dunk the do in so that the water level is about neck high3.) hold the dogs body underwater for 7 minutes. Fleas will first attempt to hold their breath and attach to the dog. At about 5 minutes the hearty fleas will be climbing up towards the dogs dry head. It takes 7 whole minutes to drown fleas.4.) as you see fleas climbing to high ground, touch them with a cue tip soaked in alcohol (moonshine, vodka, rubbing alcohol)5.) remove the dog from immersion and give a bath in the tub with gentle shampoo.6.) dry off and use a medicine such as Advantage.This method avoids the flea killing chemicals in commercial fleadips and shampoos. That stuff makes me sick, I believe from absorbing it thru my skin as I bathe the dog.This method works for cats , if you can hold onto them.A older person told me that Racoons in the wild use the same method to drown fleas - holding only their noses above water until the fleas jump ship...& I suppose sans the alcohol swabThe alcohol swab is very deadly to fleas - so much said for human consumption.Best Regards to you and K-9 friends]]>
